Aileen joined Parkeray in 2000 as the office manager for the Sutton Office. As the company grew and more staff were employed it became apparent that there was a need for a HR professional within the firm. Following attendance at college, Aileen achieved a CIPD qualification and became the ‘home-grown’ HR Manager. In line with this role, she also works closely with Mike Murray as his PA supporting him with his busy schedule.

Arik joined Parkeray in 2005, working with Andy Smith on PriceWaterhouseCooper’s offices in Uxbridge. Arik is responsible for placing orders, managing the labourers and managing expectations. He is easy-going, friendly and always builds strong relationships with building security and management teams.
One of the first projects Arik worked on was creating the international HQ for BP which introduced the high standard of PPE and H&S procedures we enjoy today. This was a good training ground as Arik is fastidious in maintaining a clean and tidy site and instils a sense of order.
His love of the great outdoors takes him snowboarding to the longest slope in Europe at 25km to scuba diving in the deepest of seas. Before Arik came to England he was a keen basketball player and played in the amateur league for over 10 years! His day to day exercise now consists of cycling as often as possible and as a regular gym goer. He is also a rock fan and you can’t keep him away from seeing his beloved Metallica whenever he can.

During his time at Parkeray he worked on some notable projects such as 30 St Mary Axe and Grosvenor Square. Ben works extremely hard to deliver a project and get the job done, but doesn’t like to take things too seriously, instilling a sense of fun into the working environment.
He loves to travel and after taking some time off he has now returned to Parkeray.
He spent the time away cycling 12,000km across Canada, America and Australia (in the middle of their summer) and worked the last year for a large construction company in New Zealand, on a number of large new build manufacturing warehouse and office projects in Auckland.

Doddy is a ‘faddist’, a Jack of all trades with all the gear as well as the idea. In fact, he has done everything from scuba to skydiving, golf to cricket and white water rafting to fancy dress. He is a keen footballer and played for the 3rd division in Zimbabwe. Make sure you ask him about his 10 bodyguards!
I’m not as green as I’m cabbage looking
Ian’s extensive experience in the interiors sections spans over 25 years and prior to that he spent 10 years in civil engineering. In 2001 Ian was project manager on a project that won fit out of the year for a prestigious client.
He likes to be hands on with the team, interacting with all those involved and creates a great rapport with everyone from clients through to suppliers. Ian is dedicated, focused and professional in delivering each of his projects.
Outside of work you can find him relaxing at home with the family. Although a keen DIY-er, a major house renovation has now freed him up so that he can spend time catching up with either reading a good book or indulging in his passion for gardening.
The only man who never makes mistakes is the man who never tries anything

With no prior experience in construction, James was attracted to the career options available and was recommended the Parkeray trainee scheme as the first step to building his career in construction. James is currently studying for his degree in Commercial Management.
A very easy-going person – James enjoys working on site and is an asset to any project team he works with. He likes the balance between studying and working and the variety his role provides.
A sports enthusiast, James is a Chelsea supporter he also plays rugby for his local team in Chipstead at the weekends and enjoys a night out in town with his friends.
Jim is a previous winner of our annual H&S award for his work at Bedford Square. He has worked on prestigious projects such as Amnesty International UK, Unilever, ICL and the Science Museum.

Jim loves the great outdoors and is part of the Parkeray Challenge Team. He enjoys most sports, plays golf and is regularly out on his bike.
It’s always a good day when you wake up breathing
James gained practical experience during his training working at one of the UK’s largest construction companies and also worked as an estates project manager for Kings College London before joining Parkeray.
James particularly enjoys the variety of his role as no one day is the same. Determined and driven, with an inquisitive nature, he loves a new challenge or a new problem to solve and is an intrinsic part of the site team.
Away from work James likes to spend time with family and friends, going to live music events and watching his beloved Crystal Palace FC. He enjoys seeing new places and has travelled to many places around Europe, Australia and both North and South America. He once completed the 3 Peaks Challenge for charity in just 23 hours and 23 minutes raising £4,000 for Save the Children.
James joined Parkeray in 2012 and started in the industry via the traditional route, following a brief spell in advertising! He worked for a main contractor for 14 years whilst studying for his quantity surveying degree and working through the various divisions of the company at the same time.
An easy going and understanding person, James is also a stickler for presentation and attention to detail. He believes that it’s best to listen first and offer your input after and although a numbers man, he enjoys coming up with ideas for solutions to any design issues.
A family man, James has two boys so when he’s not fitting in with their hectic schedule of activities he likes to relax at home. When there’s time he enjoys getting away for short breaks at boutique hotels and eating in nice restaurants.
We’re going to need a bigger boat!
Jamie joined Parkeray in 2010 and has completed her Association of Accounting Technician’s (AAT) qualification, she enjoys the fun and relaxed atmosphere that the office provides.
She likes to get on with her work and get her head down to make sure things are done. Some would say she is slightly OCD, particularly with her desk as everything has its place – people know not to touch anything!
Outside of work Jamie is a dab hand at DIY, a skill she learnt at an early age from her dad. She is currently busy renovating her second house where knocking down walls and rebuilding new ones is keeping her busy!
In her school days, she loved sport and was Essex high jump champion 4 years in a row. As well as winning swimming galas and playing basketball for the London team! Her most recent love is her Chihuahua, Larry, who likes to have a snuggle on the sofa every evening.
If you don’t ask, you don’t get
Jason is Contracts Director for the Lite team. He has been dedicated to Parkeray since incorporation and is a shareholder of the company. He was also closely involved with the launch of Parkeray Lite in 2002. Jason is extremely proactive, easy going, loves problem solving and takes great joy in meeting the client’s needs. Jason discovered the blue Parkeray cocktail back in 1998…no-one knows what’s in it!
He is a big bear, a family man and has a massive heart. When out of the office he can be found playing golf, fly fishing or spending time relaxing with the family at their French hideaway.
I’m not being funny, but…
Jess joined the finance team in 2013 after 4 years at specialist contractor MPG and has her level 3 Association of Accounting Technician’s (AAT) diploma.
She says she prefers to be kept busy and works well under pressure. Friendly and organised Jess likes to help others whenever she can and enjoys working in a team environment.
In her spare time Jess loves going out with her friends and spending time with family but her real passion is dance…all kinds… ballet, tap, street or theatre and is training for her teaching qualification so that one day she can run her own class. Oh and let’s not forget that she is a qualified football referee too!
Joanne is a long standing member of the Parkeray Pre-Construction team. She is professional, hardworking, but easy going and a pleasure to work with.
As Estimating Manager, she works with subcontractors and clients alike and places real importance on these relationships. Jo relishes learning something new every day and faces challenges head on, both in and out of the office.
Jo is a fun loving kind of lady and always has a smile on her face. Her passion is travel and adventure, from scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef to Sky Diving over Cape Town. She is not afraid to test herself and loves experiencing new things.
Jodie joined Parkeray in 2002 working within the Estimating department keeping the boys (as was then) in check. She managed all estimates and submissions. After becoming a mum for the first time, Jodie returned to join the sales and marketing team as her keen eye for detail and the fact she was a stickler for alignment fitted perfectly!
She is a highly valued member of the team, is always helpful and willing to turn her hand to any task, from managing events, writing complex submissions and working on marketing campaigns. She is also responsible for managing our website and producing our in-house magazine; Parklife.
Outside of the office she loves going to the cinema, music and sport, Wimbledon tennis was always one of her favourites. She is a keen gig goer and loves a bit of rock, be it anything from Bon Jovi to Bryan Adams, but all this comes after ‘mum duties’ to her two children, which she says are her biggest achievement.
Joe didn’t always have plans to be in construction, instead opting to study IT at Portsmouth University. Once he realised that a career in IT was not for him, he left and upon a recommendation by his sister who works in construction, approached Parkeray about their trainee scheme. The rest, as they say, is history.
Joe joined the Parkeray trainee scheme in 2012 and recently gained his BSc Commercial Management from London South Bank University.
He is enjoying life at Parkeray and particularly being involved with the different mix of projects. He believes that it’s harder to learn if you just study and so he appreciates the advantage of balancing work experience with study. The biggest thing he’s learnt since joining the company is how to manage his workload and the ability to multitask.
Outside of work he is a huge Arsenal fan and regularly goes to see them play. He also plays golf in the summer when he gets the time and loves music.
Joe’s enthusiasm for construction started when he came across sustainability. Intrigued, he applied for a sustainability officers position where he soon realised he wanted to be involved in projects from conception through to completion rather than one aspect. Following his previous trainee project manager role, he now joins our trainee scheme to complete his BSc in Construction Management at London South Bank University.
Joe is enjoying learning about different aspects of construction and how they come together in the fast pace fit out sector. While gaining valuable experience on site he relishes in finding workable solutions to get the job done.
In his spare time, Joe is out quad biking or playing piano and writing music. As a teenager, he used to train in boxing, but during his time in Malaysia this developed into a passion for kickboxing.
Jon joined Parkeray at the end of 1998 and is very much a part of the Parkeray family. Jon has completed many successful projects in his near 20 years with Parkeray. Most recently he has enjoyed working exclusively with The Office Group, successfully completing over a dozen projects and has been their dedicated project lead for the last 4 years. Jon is a real team player who partners his joviality with honesty and integrity.
Jon is a keen golfer and organises the annual Parkeray golfing weekend. When not on the golf course Jon loves spending time at the weekends with his family or doing a spot of DIY.

Lesley joined Parkeray in summer 2014 and brought her wonderful laugh, quirky sense of humour and boundlessly creative ideas to the marketing team.
Her passion for all things marketing started when she was about 7 and at Heathrow, off to visit relatives in Barbados: she became fascinated with the airline’s marketing material and later wrote to other airlines requesting they send her theirs! This enthusiasm turned professional when Lesley set up Hotminute, a lifestyle and events online publication, and later started her career in marketing in the fit out construction industry before joining Parkeray.
Lesley has a wide range of interests outside of work, from attending unusual gym classes to car design, popcorn (strictly “sweet and salty” only), board games and everything in between. Everything but snow, which should be banned, according to Lesley!
Lou is a man who looks ahead and finds solutions. He is proactive with a calm disposition and treats all those working with him with respect, from clients to colleagues, subcontractors and suppliers. Matt brings to the table a wealth of expertise and a portfolio of exciting high-profile projects for iconic brands such as the Shard and Facebook. His experience includes not only traditional office fits outs, but projects for other sectors as well, such as retail, corporate banking, healthcare and insurance.
Funny, easy-going and dedicated, Matt enjoys the variety of people he comes into contact on a daily basis through his work and from his experience, this could mean from everyday people to Royalty. I’d rather regret something after doing it than regret not doing it at all

He prides himself on the fact that he is a people person and easy to work with, which is a recipe for success. Michael believes that coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success.

Mike always says and believes that Parkeray is a company “about people, for people”, get that right and the rest should be plain sailing.
For Mike, construction is about perspective and just doing the simple things well. Say what you do and do what you say, work hard, play hard, get on with people and have fun.

All or nothing
Tom has always worked in the construction industry and started his career by completing a joinery apprenticeship. Whilst on a rotation, he found a passion for estimating and never left! Tom’s has also worked for other main contractors on a wide range of projects for various clients in different sectors.
One thing that Tom particularly enjoys is the speed of turnaround on tenders, so he never gets bored. Fastidious in his approach, Tom enjoys getting into the details of a project and going the extra mile to find that special something that just might secure the win!
Away from work, Tom likes to spend time with his young family or doing some DIY around the house. Outdoor pursuits include clay pigeon shooting and when it comes to football, he’s a Hammers fan!
Tony joined Parkeray in 2013 having previously worked on projects such as the new Marriott hotel at Twickenham stadium, and the Conrad Hotel at Chelsea Harbour.
Tony likes working and being involved in a team, he believes it makes working easier and a more pleasant experience. Avoiding confrontation, he works with people rather than against them, a real team player. He is ultra-cautious and likes to check everything out. A smilie chap, Tony gets on with people from all walks of life.
Away from work he is a sporty person and loves rugby and football, a keen Crystal Palace supporter. Spending his Sundays in the wilderness, he also enjoys shooting clays at JJ’s Club in Kent.

Honesty is the best policy
Trevor has spent over 25 years working in construction from an apprentice carpenter up to project manager. Involved in all aspects of the industry, house building, retail refurbishment and commercial office fit outs, where he has delivered some high quality project for clients such as PWC, RBS, Scottish Widows and Peabody trust.
His trade background and hands on approach enables him to find workable solutions to meet a client’s expectations and is a firm believer that communication is the key. Trevor is regimented and likes things done in the right order to get it right first time. A stickler for housekeeping with his motto… clean site, safe site is a happy site, he always has a smile on his face.
Away from work Trevor can be found doing either ‘parenting duties’ for his children or renovating his properties. He is a F1 fan and a lover of old and fast cars and one day hopes to be at the Monaco Grand Prix. His hobbies include travelling and cooking although not quite a master chef yet! Trevor is also into historical buildings and archaeology but all he has found so far is the construction industry… sadly no worthy artefacts there!
Vince’s career in construction began after leaving school. He trained as a gas engineer and later set up his own building company, which kick-started his experience working on construction sites.
With 22 years experience on the tools as a dry liner under his belt, Vince worked his way up from site manager to contracts manager and eventually found himself working for a main fit out contractor for three years as a project manager. In his time there, he completed a £2.6m fit out, which resulted in the company’s first ever SKA Gold rating – an achievement he is especially proud of.
Family life keeps Vince busy. However, he enjoys live music and loves going to concerts as much as he can. Watching motorsports is another one of his favourite past times – any type will do, particularly Formula 1 and Moto GP (motorbikes).
Vince enjoys seeing a project through to completion and the client with the end product. He describes himself as a nightmare to work with “I’m always right! And I tend to think I can do the job better than anyone else, so I’m never satisfied”. It’s an approach that works and keeps the client happy. Thankfully, Vince isn’t as bad to work with as he thinks!
Being good at what you do takes a lot of hard work
Bishak started working with Parkeray back in 2002 as a self employed labourer. In 2005, through his work ethic and commitment we decided we should bring him on board full time. He now works as a site foreman and strong number two, mainly to Alan West, Jon Pye and Gerry Gilbert.
Bishak runs the day to day logistics, environmental and safety management extremely well and in doing so has received plaudits from all comers. His commitment has earned him our first elite ‘outstanding achievement award’ for his contribution to the successful operation of our site in the Commonwealth Building of ICL’s busy Hammersmith campus.
Some of the initiatives that Bishak has instigated are extremely creative such as the introduction of the “Bishhook” and no loading red zones both of which deal really well with some of the old perennials we often have to deal with on site such as trailing cables, damage to existing finishes and congested circulation routes.
Bishak came over from Gdansk in 2002 and in his words has ‘been lucky to come to Parkeray’. A long way from his childhood dream of becoming a footballer! He was pretty good, perhaps not quite good enough to be a pro but certainly held together the Parkeray 5 a-side team who only drew one game…….. and lost all the others!!!
Out of work, when not spending time with his wife and two sons, he loves tinkering on his computer, he studied IT basic C++ programming before leaving Poland.
