After 16 weeks on site, Parkeray is proud to hand over a fully transformed 10,000 sq ft space within the YY Building to Until. Located in the heart of Canary Wharf, the project saw our team working closely with the building landlord and client to bring their vision to life and deliver a premium new health and wellness club for London’s leading practitioners and the services they provide.
People-focused approach throughout
Led by Matt Liddell and Bartek Zawadzki, our team placed clear communication at the centre of the project from the outset. Regular face‑to‑face meetings with UNTIL and key stakeholders helped decisions move quickly and collaboratively, supporting a smooth and efficient delivery on site.
Crafting standout features throughout
Working alongside specialist suppliers, we delivered high‑quality features and finishes aligned with the client’s ambition to attract high‑value members. At the heart of the space sits a commercial‑grade gym, defined by bold exposed services and fitted with premium Eleiko equipment.
Beyond the gym, the scheme includes a welcoming member clubhouse area alongside a newly fitted kitchen with a standout island counter. A series of design‑led therapy and treatment rooms caters for physios, osteopaths, sports therapists and massage therapists, featuring bespoke joinery and ambient lighting. Specialist dental suites are fitted with state‑of‑the‑art equipment supplied by Clark Dental, while polished plaster wall finishes throughout reinforce the refined, premium aesthetic.
Managing a multi-trade environment
Delivering the project within a live, multi‑trade environment required careful planning and coordination. The cellular and compact floorplate limited on‑site storage and restricted material movement, meaning additional labour and methodical sequencing were needed to keep activities progressing safely and efficiently.
A strong partnership
The building management team’s processes also presented coordination and approval challenges, which again highlighted the importance of flexibility and open communication throughout. Thanks to a positive and collaborative working relationship with the landlord team, these challenges were addressed proactively, allowing momentum to be maintained across the programme.
We’re proud to have worked with UNTIL to deliver another high-quality, future-ready health and wellness space to add to their growing portfolio across the city. As a wider project team, Parkeray, Spacelab, ADP and UNTIL, we also explored opportunities to replicate and streamline the design for future schemes, reflecting the strong relationships established during the delivery at the YY Building.
