Connie Shanahan

Connie has already completed two years of her full-time university course and now joins our graduate scheme to continue studying towards her BA Hons Commercial Management (Quantity Surveying), Chartered Surveying Degree Apprenticeship.

Inquisitive and hardworking, Connie is always up for learning something new and enjoys meeting new people. Her previous experience means she is good with people, an excellent communicator, and a valuable member of the team.

Bubbly and outgoing Connie always makes time for her friends and family and as a big music lover, she likes to go to concerts and festivals. If there is any free time after that, she is also a qualified nail technician!

Nathan Wright

Nathan is one of our trainees and is currently studying for his HNC Construction (Construction Site Supervisor Apprenticeship) at London Southbank University. The scheme was recommended to him from a family friend, and it has opened his eyes to the career opportunities available in construction.

Eager to learn, enthusiastic and hardworking, Nathan’s positive attitude makes him an asset to any project team. Whether at college or on site, he enjoys being challenged with new tasks and responsibilities as no two days are ever the same.

To relax Nathan enjoys going out with friends to festivals and working out at the gym. When he gets the time, he can be found in the stands at Craven Cottage watching his beloved Fulham FC.

Miru Zelalem

Miru originally started her full-time university course but then heard about the Parkeray graduate scheme. Working and studying at the same time was something Miru had always considered, so combining the two suits her perfectly.

Hardworking, approachable, and determined to get things right, she will always go out of her way to help people. Miru enjoys the diversity of the commercial manager role and likes the variation between the office and site environment. Currently studying towards her BA Hons Commercial Management (Quantity Surveying) (Construction Quantity Surveying Apprenticeship) Miru says she is really enjoying it!

Outdoorsy and adventurous Miru is always up for trying something new. To relax, she likes to get creative, listen to music, and enjoys games night but has been known to get very competitive! When she isn’t catching up with friends, she likes to go longboarding.

Ally Grint

Focused and keen to learn, Ally brings positive energy to the marketing team. Pleased to be given the opportunity to study and work at the same time, she is currently working towards a BA (Hons) Business Management with Business Practice (Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship). Ally has always wanted to be in business development and the role fits her social, confident personality perfectly.

She is excited to expand her network and is looking forward to meeting new people while gaining insight and knowledge of the construction industry. Ally is hardworking, creative and is always willing to lend a hand.

In her spare time, she likes to go to the gym, play tennis or shop! She is also a bit of a foodie and likes to visit new restaurants or cook at home. Ally loves to travel and has ambitions of visiting Canada and Japan where she can combine her other passion…skiing.

Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.

Joseph Abbott

Joe joins our trainee scheme with some construction experience under his belt after working with his dad but is keen to improve his skills and knowledge. He is excited by the challenges that lie ahead and is looking forward to learning something new. Joe is currently in the first year of his HNC in Construction course at London Southbank University.

Not wanting to sit behind a desk every day, Joe enjoys that no two days are the same on site. He is reliable, confident, a quick learner, and is a massive fan of how project management promotes teamwork to make the best decisions available. Always an optimist, he will manage to see the good in a bad situation.

In his spare time Joe’s main passion sport and likes going to the gym and regularly plays football at the weekend. When it comes to relaxing, he enjoys spending time with friends and family watching a good film or boxset.

No one ever made a difference by being like everybody else.

Jack Shepherd

After hearing about Parkeray from a family member Jack was drawn to a career in the construction industry and wanted an exciting new challenge. Jack already has one degree to his name and will be adding to his qualifications with a master’s degree in Construction Management. Prior to joining Parkeray, he gained valuable experience working for a large landscaping company which opened his eyes to the opportunities available in construction.

Working well in a team and with an honest and hardworking attitude, Jack is always willing to lend a helping hand. An excellent communicator, he is looking forward to building strong relationships with all members of the project team whilst watching the transformation of each project, taking pride in each and every detail.

Outside of work, Jack likes to travel and has been lucky enough to visit Australia and South East Asia. He is a big fan of watching and playing sports; golf, football and cricket. When he gets time to hit the course, he plays golf to a 6 handicap.

There are no secrets to success. It is the result of preparation, hard work and learning from failure.

Marcus Brown

Our trainee scheme was recommended to Marcus through family connections and the possibility of a career with longevity in a striving industry is something that he is very passionate about. Before joining Parkeray, he worked in as a personal trainer for many years, where he acquired a range of transferrable skills, which are relevant to his role today, such as strong communication and the ability to develop good working relationships.

Marcus is a reliable team player with a positive approach. Although known for his easy-going attitude he is very competitive and whether at college or on-site, he enjoys being challenged with new tasks and responsibilities every day.

He is a huge sports fan especially rugby and once had a professional contract with Saracens. He is also a regular at the gym and a big family man.

Always try to be the hardest working in the room.

 

Callum Nightingill

Following in family footsteps and keen to learn, Callum is excited by the challenges that lie ahead on our trainee scheme and is currently studying of his HNC in Construction at London Southbank University.

Not wanting to sit behind a desk every day, Callum likes getting out and about on site to see the project lifecycle develop as no two days are the same. He is motivated, hardworking and enjoys the team atmosphere.

In his spare time Callum’s main passion is football. At a young age he was on the books at Millwall and now still regularly plays 5-a-side with friends. He also likes to play darts in his local league.

Darryl Dillon

With a master’s degree already to his name, Darryl wanted to put his business management knowledge to good use. With a recommendation to check out the Parkeray trainee scheme and construction already in his family, Darryl will be studying construction management as part of his project manager training.

He likes seeing a project develop from an idea into a working reality and thrives on being able to deliver the finished project to the client. Focused and organised with an easy-going personality, Darryl enjoys meeting new people and, in the process, building positive working relationships.

When he isn’t at work, Darryl enjoys travelling, cooking and going to the gym to keep fit. His other passion is sport including football and also runs a basketball podcast and blogging site.

Would I rather be feared or loved? Easy, both. I want people to be afraid of how much they love me.

Harry James

After three years of working as a barber, Harry decided to change his career and looked no further than our trainee scheme. With close links to the industry, but no prior experience in construction, Harry is looking forward to developing his skills, meeting new people and progressing in his role as project manager trainee.

Harry enjoys the diversity of the project manager role and likes the variation of the site environment as no two days are the same. He is hardworking and likes to keep busy, so it suits him perfectly.

When he isn’t working, like most people his age he enjoys meeting up with friends at the weekend and is also a self-confessed shopaholic! Harry enjoys sport in particular football and is a huge Chelsea fan.

Elle Stevens

Elle already has some industry experience to her name as prior to joining Parkeray she worked for the family business. Growing up around construction has provided her with valuable knowledge and she is now looking to expand her skill base and further her career by gaining her degree.

Hardworking and reliable Elle is looking forward to learning on the job.  She likes to meet new people and is enjoying the London life. Her friendly personality enables her to make instant connections with everyone on the project team.

Always up for a challenge, Elle took part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme and also competed in many ice-skating competitions during her school years. When she gets time to relax you will find her catching up with friends.

Archie Bigham

Construction runs in Archie’s family, so he was destined to join the industry and keep up the tradition. Deciding that university wasn’t really for him, our trainee scheme offered the perfect solution and Archie is currently studying for his HNC in construction.

Archie’s hard-working attitude lends itself perfectly to being on site whilst studying at the same time. He believes the best part of the job is seeing the transformation of each project, from start through to handover.

In his spare time, you will find Archie in the gym, on the golf course or catching up with friends.  He’s also a football fan and can often be found on the south coast cheering on AFC Bournemouth.
