Steve La Roche

Steve joins our commercial management team with an abundance of experience as a surveyor. He started his career whilst studying part-time, soon working his way up and gaining a first-class honour degree from the University of Greenwich. Steve has experience in a range of sectors and projects from Cat A fit out and refurbishments in excess of £5m.

Approachable, hardworking, and a personable member of the team, Steve enjoys working on a variety of projects. He gets great pleasure in seeing the concept of a drawing develop into a real project and feeling proud that he played his part.

A West Ham supporter and season ticket holder, Steve enjoys watching football as much as playing and is captain of his amateur Saturday team. He also likes to follow the MotoGP and spends time in the garage attempting to fix his own motorbike.

Rowan Bascoe

Rowan completed his BSc Commercial Management (Quantity Surveying) degree and gained valuable experience at the UK’s leading steel fabrication company prior to joining Parkeray. Looking to expand his knowledge he is excited to work in the fit out sector.

Rowan is naturally quiet-natured and easy-going. He is a reliable team player and always happy to help other members of the team to see the project progress from day one through to completion.

Outside of work, Rowan enjoys all things active from going to the gym to playing 5-a-side football every week with friends. He also likes to go and watch his favourite team, Arsenal play.

Richard Bawden

Richard has been in and around the industry for a number of years with various private construction companies before joining our commercial team. His experience as a surveyor covers a range of sectors including housing and has been involved in large framework contracts.

Honest and enthusiastic, Richard loves being part of a team and enjoys meeting new, interesting people along the way. He likes the diversity that each project brings meaning no two days are the same.

Richard is a self-confessed fitness fanatic and likes to go to the gym at every opportunity. A sociable character, he also likes to spend time meeting friends for a drink or going to the cinema to watch the latest movie release.

It’s nice to be important, but it’s more important to be nice.

Craig Deller

Craig has been working in the industry for over 10 years, on projects ranging from £100,000 to £50m. He has experience working on a variety of different contracts in various sectors including retail, leisure, and commercial. He is also a member of the CIOB.

Friendly and approachable, he enjoys each stage of the process from procurement to final account negotiations. Craig is an excellent communicator, engaging with the whole team and focusing on attention to detail, ensuring that all information is delivered efficiently and accurately to ensure a successful project that exceeds the client’s expectations.

In his spare time, Craig enjoys socialising with friends but his main passion is golf, and you will find him at his local club where he is currently Captain.

Craig’s the name, Money’s the game.

Matt Carr

Matt has worked on many prestigious projects in the commercial fit out sector, with many in excess of £15m.  Securing his BSc in Quantity Surveying he went on to start his career at one of the UK’s leading engineering and construction companies and brings varied experience to our commercial management team.

Positive, proactive and a dedicated team player Matt likes meeting new people and will always go the extra mile to build relationships with our clients. He enjoys that every project is different and each one comes with a new challenge, new location and often a new team, which keeps working life interesting.

Matt is a keen golfer and likes to get out on the course whenever time permits. He also likes to keep fit by going to the gym. His other passion is music, from going to live events, collecting records, or on the decks DJ’ing himself.

Andy Johnson

Andy joins our commercial team with an abundance of experience as a surveyor. Having started his career in construction as a trainee, he soon worked his way up to senior surveyor. As a commercial manager, over the last 15 years, he has worked in different sectors ranging from residential to commercial fit out and refurbishment completing projects for many high-profile clients such as The Science Museum.

Dependable, approachable, and organised, Andy particularly enjoys working as part of a team and building good working relationships. He enjoys the challenge of delivering something special for the client. Seeing the project come together and then handing over the finished space you created for them to enjoy.

Andy is a keen sportsman and plays football, rugby and golf. He also likes running and is always up for completing a challenge for charity. He likes to travel and when he gets the opportunity he likes to go and see live music.

It always seems impossible until it’s done.

Chris Hides

Chris joins the Lite division with a strong background in the interior fit out sector. He first attended college studying bricklaying alongside an extended diploma in Construction & The Built Environment. Chris continued his studies gaining a BSc in Quantity Surveying and uses his wealth of academic knowledge to contribute to his success in the workplace.

He is an enthusiastic individual focused on communicating with all members of the immediate and wider team. Approachable and dedicated he ensures the team is supported and always gives 100 percent. In addition, Chris likes to learn from his peers and always wants to challenge himself in new ways to develop his skillset.

When he’s not at work Chris loves to travel overseas and has recently explored the East and West coast of America. He appreciates the outdoors and spends the majority of his spare time longboarding.

Dean Mythen

Dean joined our commercial team in 2014, having graduated in 2011 with a BSc Quantity Surveying from the University of Greenwich. During his time with us he has delivered a variety of projects, notably 1 Canada Square, Douglas House and our home, Parkeray HQ.

The studious member of the commercial team, Dean is quietly driven & committed but always embraces the Parkeray ‘can do’ attitude in all that he does.

Away from work Dean enjoys spending time with his family. His three boys keep him plenty busy on the weekends, and what’s left of it he enjoys following various sports, especially Formula One!

James Mann

James joined our trainee scheme with no prior experience in construction and has gone on to qualify with a First Class Honours BSc Commercial Management degree. He relishes learning something new every day and faces challenges head on, both in and out of the office.

A very easy-going person – James enjoys working on site and is an asset to any project team he works with. He likes the variety his role provides and believes in doing things the right way. Working with subcontractors and clients alike, James places real importance on these relationships and adopts a simple straightforward approach.

A sports enthusiast, James is a Chelsea supporter and a keen rugby player at Chipstead RFC, he is also a regular on the Parkeray Le Touquet golfing weekends!

Iain Dodson

Iain is a dedicated, methodical, fun and friendly Commercial Manager who has worked on prestigious projects such as Stella McCartney, Amnesty International UK Ltd and the fast track fit out of a new Paddington based headquarters for a Norwegian Oil Company.

Iain, known as ‘Doddy’ is one of our company entertainers. You may have witnessed his rendition of “Burlington Bertie” while donning a bowler hat. If not, you should.

Doddy is a ‘faddist’, a Jack of all trades with all the gear as well as the idea. In fact, he has done everything from scuba to skydiving, golf to cricket and white water rafting to fancy dress. He is a keen footballer and played for the 3rd division in Zimbabwe. Make sure you ask him about his 10 bodyguards!

Brian Hemmings

Brian has a master’s degree in Quantity Surveying and joined Parkeray in 2014. During his time in the industry he has been involved in some impressive project such as Europe’s longest champagne bar at St Pancras, the National Portrait Gallery restaurants and also Kings Place. More recently he has been involved in high end fit outs for Yum, home to brands such as to KFC, Taco Bell and Pizza Hut and for Clear Channel refurbishing their headquarters.

Tenacious, passionate and driven by the Parkeray culture, Brian’s belief is to do the best that you can do while surrounded by the right people.

Away from work Brian enjoys cooking and trying new culinary delights. When he’s not scoffing his face, he likes to throw himself off the side of a mountain with a bike, some people call it mountain biking, his friends call it madness! He does it at night too, twice as dangerous and definitely twice as much fun!

Duncan Elphick

Duncan joined Parkeray in 2004 and was appointed to the board of directors in 2013. His main responsibility as director is to manage and support our project teams, giving advice, direction and guidance. Duncan is hard working, always seeking to achieve goals and targets set with the right level of quality. Duncan believes Parkeray has a unique style and approach which sets us apart from our peers.

He is a keen member of the Parkeray Challenge team, having completed the 3 Peaks Challenge, South Downs Way, the Lake District 4 Peaks and 75 miles around the Isle of Wight, all of which raised much needed funds for charity.
