Most of Michaela’s family already work in the industry, which sparked her intrigue and interest in a career in construction. Michaela is currently studying for an HNC in Construction and the Built Environment at Southbank University and says this opportunity is the perfect balance of gaining working experience alongside learning.
Helpful, honest and focused, Michaela works well as part of a team and is looking forward to meeting new people, being pushed out of her comfort zone, learning something new every day and having new experiences.
Fun and spontaneous, Michaela loves to go to concerts and music festivals in her spare time. She also likes to socialise with friends, travel abroad and find exciting new places!

Laura did various in-house marketing roles before settling down on a career in business development within the construction industry. Her experience hails from other big names in the industry. Laura’s longest tenure was with another fit out contractor where she spent over ten years, joining them as an £8m business and leaving when the turnover was over £150m.
Conscientious with a can-do approach, Laura loves meeting new people and making connections. Her friendly personality puts everyone at ease, and she likes to introduce her contact to each other to enhance their business relationships and watch them develop.
Away from the office, Laura loves camping, festivals, gigs, and going to the theatre. When it comes to keeping fit, she is a keen runner and has recently joined a boxing gym!
After leaving school Nigel originally started in the construction industry as a joinery apprentice. Some forty years on and his experience hails from the big names in the fit out industry. Nigel has worked for many prestigious clients including The Rothschild Foundation at Spencer House.
Nigel is driven by a strong desire to get the job done and gets great satisfaction at delivering the finished project. Loyal, supportive, and exceptionally hands-on, his approach enables him to find a workable solution to ensure the client’s expectations are met.
Outside of work Nigel loves cooking and entertaining. He is always trying out new culinary delights for friends and family, although not always successfully! Nigel also likes to go skiing and sailing when time permits.

Connie has already completed two years of her full-time university course and now joins our graduate scheme to continue studying towards her BA Hons Commercial Management (Quantity Surveying), Chartered Surveying Degree Apprenticeship.
Inquisitive and hardworking, Connie is always up for learning something new and enjoys meeting new people. Her previous experience means she is good with people, an excellent communicator, and a valuable member of the team.
Bubbly and outgoing Connie always makes time for her friends and family and as a big music lover, she likes to go to concerts and festivals. If there is any free time after that, she is also a qualified nail technician!
Steve joins our commercial management team with an abundance of experience as a surveyor. He started his career whilst studying part-time, soon working his way up and gaining a first-class honour degree from the University of Greenwich. Steve has experience in a range of sectors and projects from Cat A fit out and refurbishments in excess of £5m.
Approachable, hardworking, and a personable member of the team, Steve enjoys working on a variety of projects. He gets great pleasure in seeing the concept of a drawing develop into a real project and feeling proud that he played his part.
A West Ham supporter and season ticket holder, Steve enjoys watching football as much as playing and is captain of his amateur Saturday team. He also likes to follow the MotoGP and spends time in the garage attempting to fix his own motorbike.
James has been in the building services industry for over 30 years. His strong background in construction and fit out environments includes fast-track Design & Build projects, and he has worked for other main contractors within the industry, prior to joining Parkeray.
Tenacious and reliable, James is driven by a strong desire to get the job done whilst exceeding the client’s expectations. James likes to be hands-on with the team and his attention to detail is second to none; seeking out each project’s unique selling point.
Away from the office, James enjoys a variety of hobbies including photography, composing music in his studio at home, or when time permits, taking his motorbike for a spin. A big family man, James likes to spend quality time with his wife, three children, and their faithful hound.
Life moves fast, if you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
After a brief spell away, Rory re-joined our project management team in early 2022. Prior to this, he was one of our very own project managers having joined our graduate scheme in 2017 and gaining a Master’s Degree in Construction Management. During his time with us, Rory has worked on a variety of high-profile, high-value projects.
Proactive, practically minded, and not one for sitting behind a desk, Rory enjoys being involved with a project from day one and seeing it through to completion. He likes meeting and working with a wide variety of people, facing new challenges, and knowing every day is different on site.
Away from the office, Rory is an all-around sports fan, playing rugby from a young age, keeping fit at the gym, and is also a qualified ski instructor. When time permits, he also likes to spend time catching up with friends and colleagues.

Nick has twenty-five years’ experience running fit out, heavy refurbishment and new build projects for a variety of tier one contractors. In that time, he was awarded both project manager and project of the year.
He enjoys the challenge of creating new environments for clients and helping them and their teams realise their goals whilst making it an enjoyable experience for all involved. Hardworking and logical, Nick revels in the finer details and finding pragmatic solutions, all with a degree of humour.
Nick enjoys all things active including scuba diving, surfing and skiing whenever the opportunity allows. At the weekends he likes to relax with the family or indulging in his other obsession… classic cars which he has been collecting for twenty years.

With his background in civil engineering, he is well versed in large-scale machinery and structural elements. Spencer’s experience hails from over a decade in the Royal Engineers. Progressing to Section Commander he was responsible for implementing safe systems of working and generally promoting health and safety awareness across a variety of different construction environments.
Hardworking and adaptable Spencer is an excellent communicator and enjoys meeting and talking to new people. He likes that every day and each project is different which brings a new challenge.
Away from work, he likes to relax and spend time with friends and family. He is also a keen golfer but admits he needs more practice. Spencer also is a bit of a petrol head and likes motor racing and going to track days.
Nathan is one of our trainees and is currently studying for his HNC Construction (Construction Site Supervisor Apprenticeship) at London Southbank University. The scheme was recommended to him from a family friend, and it has opened his eyes to the career opportunities available in construction.
Eager to learn, enthusiastic and hardworking, Nathan’s positive attitude makes him an asset to any project team. Whether at college or on site, he enjoys being challenged with new tasks and responsibilities as no two days are ever the same.
To relax Nathan enjoys going out with friends to festivals and working out at the gym. When he gets the time, he can be found in the stands at Craven Cottage watching his beloved Fulham FC.
Miru originally started her full-time university course but then heard about the Parkeray graduate scheme. Working and studying at the same time was something Miru had always considered, so combining the two suits her perfectly.
Hardworking, approachable, and determined to get things right, she will always go out of her way to help people. Miru enjoys the diversity of the commercial manager role and likes the variation between the office and site environment. Currently studying towards her BA Hons Commercial Management (Quantity Surveying) (Construction Quantity Surveying Apprenticeship) Miru says she is really enjoying it!
Outdoorsy and adventurous Miru is always up for trying something new. To relax, she likes to get creative, listen to music, and enjoys games night but has been known to get very competitive! When she isn’t catching up with friends, she likes to go longboarding.
Joe joins our trainee scheme with some construction experience under his belt after working with his dad but is keen to improve his skills and knowledge. He is excited by the challenges that lie ahead and is looking forward to learning something new. Joe is currently in the first year of his HNC in Construction course at London Southbank University.
Not wanting to sit behind a desk every day, Joe enjoys that no two days are the same on site. He is reliable, confident, a quick learner, and is a massive fan of how project management promotes teamwork to make the best decisions available. Always an optimist, he will manage to see the good in a bad situation.
In his spare time Joe’s main passion sport and likes going to the gym and regularly plays football at the weekend. When it comes to relaxing, he enjoys spending time with friends and family watching a good film or boxset.
